animated buttons

I know how to animate buttons, what i want to find out how to do is when I click on the button I want it to animate, and then stay in that last frame of animation until I click it again, what would be the easiest way to do this?

Also I was wondering if you could direct me to an EASY TO UNDERSTAND tutorial for making my own date/time counters as all the ones I have found are either cryptic or vague.

Hello,
