I want to import a 2.5MB MP3 file so I can play it when a user clicks on a button.
Only problem is Flash 4 won't accept MP3 files, and if I use a .WAV file, it will be huge.
Any ideas?

Hello Pat,
What you may do, is use any MP3 to WAV converter and convert the sound clip to the WAV format. I'm sure a lot of the download sites like CNET's Download.com (ww.download.com) (http:/www.download.com)) offer free tools for that purpose. I also believe that Real's RealJukebox does something similar...but I'm not sure.
Don't worry if the file size becomes really large. Flash 4 cannot import MP3 files, but it can export MP3 files. So the 40-50 MB WAV file will be converted back to its 2.5 MB MP3 size once exported by Flash. Either way, it'll work easily.
I hope that helped. If you have any further questions or comments, please don't hesitate to reply back.
