Okay I am using a computer that used to be set up with dual monitors. Now when I run max and photoshop. There are certain windows that seem to be popping up off-screen as if I still have dual monitors. (in max it is the get material browser and in photoshop it is the adjustment layers). As you can see those are probably the 2 most important pop-ups for those apps.
Here are somethigs I have tried so far.
I have disabled n-view
disabled other vid card
set the n-view properties to not allow windows to pop outside of the screen
tried setting max to default layout......same with photoshop.
Please help re-installing these apps are not an option at this point I am separated from my software case. I am seriously impaired right now so any help appreciated.

just right click on the tab for the program next to the start menu and choose nview options, send to window and then choose monitor 1 it should send all your appz and windows back to monitor 1

if that dosent work, temporary put another monitor in and reposition the "pop-ups". it happen to me before, and in panic thats what i did. but like grim said, the newer nview control panel gives you features to fix all that.

for max, man i havent got that installed, so i cant help you there,
in the nview features you can give applications custom settings for the monitor/s. you can try that for max.
OR... if max pop-ups show in the windows taskbar, you can right click on them there click on move and use your arrow keys on your keyboard to move it... just hold down on the key until it appears.
Hope this could help.

ok some strange reason max windows are working fine now. I restarted after I did what grim suggested and it seems to be cool now. However ps7 adjustment layer window seems to be popping up somewhere out of site....even after I did what you suggested. may still go out and buy a cheap monitor.
thanks tho.....got something due...I was panicking....heehee
