Button Roll-over Movies

Hi,

I am working with Flash for some while and one thing is still very unclear to me. I want to make a button which plays a movieclip (like changing color gradually) on mouse roll over. Well, thats easy. But when I roll the mouse out the button area the movieclip stops directly, which looks very unprofessional. I can't figure out to make it so that the movieclip stops when it has played once, and not only partly. I hope you can help me with this,

Hello Elinor,
You need to create a custom set of frames for the movie to play when rolled out. In fact, I have created a very comprehensive tutorial that addresses that issue. The URL is: http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flash5/advroll.asp Make sure you click on the area on the top left that says "Creating the movie clip". That should hopefully solve your problem.
