I'm working on a tut where I need a PNG with alpha channel.
Tried a couple of things in Image Ready, but couldn't get it to work.
It needs to be transparant.
Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks

what program will display the PNG?

the only program I've seen so far that can do it is flash. and many editing programs as well...

If you're doing it for a site, I don't think it's possible...

from imageready youd have to be sure to have your optimize settings at PNG-24 with transparency selected

if it's PS just do as 'save for web' and check the transparency option.... Dun't think you can do it from the normal 'Save As' menu...

you can in fact save out as PNG from PS (from save as) and they will maintain their alpha channel

Grrrrrrr...

Followed your advices, but didn't workout the way I wanted. It's a sample file in Flash MX
that I want to modify.

If you look at the picture they use, it's realy transparant, mine isn't:

If someone could help me out, would be gratefull.

If you try to use a png in an html environment . I doubt you will get the transparency but you will get discoloration. Pngs work well in flash but not in html. If that is what you are trying to do.
