Actually the snow effect is too processor intensive so we don't allow it as a footer effect on the forum.

Think of it this way.

Let's say you have 50 snowflakes (tutorial default)

That is 50 enterFrames running, which is processor intensive on it's own, but then let's say you post 2 or 3 times on one page in a thread... you end up with 100-150 enterFrames running... and eventually if you post more it will suck up everyones CPU usage completely and they won't be able to view your threads/posts
