You could look it up on Wikipedia etc. But I link of it as a cultural phoenomenon like LOLCATS, or LEET Speak. I supposed someone like the bumblebee girl from the "No Rain" video might be too -- in some cirlces.

I suppose media and commercials use it all the time, but personally, I find the meme definition hard to grasp?
this is a modest example, of fail jokes and twitter, combined generating a new meaning. This is what you typically would get from someone trying to ride on popular concepts, reusing without any other purpose than to take advantage of the inherit values in the recognition of each item, or meme.
I doubt I could squeeze in 10 memes in one swf?
If someone else contributes in this battle, I might see this problem with fresh new eyes? so I reserve myself for changes.

I still don't understand the meme thing myself.... or how it relates to a battle...

I think he means a meme is an internet joke,
In the original meaning, it is a much more abstract thing, making the concept ambiguous. But even in the original definition, the concept is ambiguous in itself, since a culturally distributed idea could be practically anything.
I've been practicing making these bad jokes on this site:

...also, I wonder why it has to be a swf?
