If i have 5 buttons and by clicking on one of them i want all 5 buttons to become invisible, how can i do that?

The easiest way to do that that I can think is to make another keyframe/F6. After clicking on the button you speak of, have it go to that keyframe where those buttons no longer are. i.e. If you are on frame 1 with 5 buttons, want those suckers to disappear, place on that button On mouse Event/Goto and play/stop Frame 2. On frame two of course you would not have those buttons which you desire to make disappear. When they click, they go to frame 2 and the buttons are gone! Does this help?

Thats a pretty good method for Flash 4.0. Timelines with simple goto commands work really smoothly in 4.0
