custom component scroll bar??!

i was under the impression after reading some posts on this forum that the flash mx component scroll bar could be edited and manipulated easily by breaking down the pieces (arrows, bar, ect) and changing color ect as seen fit? however I expiremented with altering the pieces and have not had any luck!

whats the trick?

( i just was a black scroll handle that is pink on mouseover, and i want to delete the up and down arrows alltogether.)

this is what I did. just go to the edit symbols menu on the right hand corner.
a pull down menu appears,
select Flash UI Components, more menus appear,
select Component Skins, more menus,
select FScrollBar Skins. All the graphics for the component are there. open and change at will. hope that helps.
