Hi, was wondering how i can achieve this kind of effect drawing the circles? What are the possible ways to create a design like this?

http://www.mecompany.com/launched.html

take a look at the page filled with circles.

you may want to look around for Senocular this seems like some freaky flash 3d and AS question.

my guess is maths - they probably had one or two mc's that they duplicated with maths driven coordinates (using cos, sin and a bunch of functions)...
Pretty sweet though...

i really like that...

and they've got quite interesting pics too
i would agree that it's probably some maths function

So there's no way of achieving this kind of design using Illustrator?

There's probably no easy work around but if you want to draw a whole bunch of ovals I'm sure it's possible. You might be able to pull something off similar to that with distortion maps in photoshop, but you would end up having to go over all the circles and stuff to get them to look clear. So if you really want to do that, it's going to take some serious work. Good luck though.

No, the geometry is too perfect for this to be drawn. It's done by duplicating the circle clips in flash. As for how, I have no freaking clue. A lot of real work went in to this. Talk to pom or sen or someone a ton better than me on that one.

How about if I want to draw something similar (not exactly) but simplier.

I just need to create many circles and have some perspective like towards a far end that kind of feel. No need to be so complex as to twirl around like the one I posted.

Can someone give me some ideas?

man truthfully you are going to have to have some coded interaction. I know there is a fireworks command called Tsunami that can do something similar. But as far as doing it by hand in a graphic proggy. You will drive yourself crazy and it will not be as perfect as the symmetry shown here. Hopefully Sen or Ilyas sees this post.

How about Illustrator? Is there any filters or effects to achieve something like that or something close?
