View Full Version : rendering "inside" of object

As you can see in the attached file, 3d studio max will not render the "inside of the sphere. I cut off the top to show you what i mean.
how can i make it render the "inside" of the sphere? Its the same when actually rendered as it is in the viewport.

can't find any attachments but tick on "2-sided" in the material editor (of the material that is applied to the object of course)!

if you are trying to hollow out the sphere what you want to do is do a solidify modifier. If your max does not have it I will try to track down a dload url.

if you want to give the sphere its own set of polys on the inside so you can give it its own texture use the solidify modifier. That is if you want it to be able to have its own texture.
