Best way to do a range of numbers?

Hey guys

Help! I was wondering what the best way to do this is?
I need to print off a range of numbers (we're talking thousands).

They need to each individually go on a card about half the size of a regular piece of paper. (Sort of like marathon numbers) .

I have in design, illustrator photoshop and the like. So I need to create all of these without having to go in by hand and writing in each number.

Any thoughts?

I'm not exactly sure, but I'm thinking you'll have to create a loop of some kind to create each set of numbers.
