It's a site I just launched for the compnay I work for. I still dont have all the bell's and whistles like sound fx and an intro or the demo room up but most of it is done. Please have a look and let me know what you think.
Any ideas/comments/insperation would be of great help. Thanks!

it's nice.
the only thing I don't like, is the way the text moves in from the right on the top... I would have it fade in, just like it fades out.
there is a lot of animation going on for no reason... then again, I am really against animation for animation's sake...

hahah - thanks rev, that's a good idea, I think I may change that, it actually slid in and then out when I first made it - I will change that on monday. Nice suggestion.
As for the anmiation - my boss loves that stuff. So I tried to make it look animated, but not so much it was distracting. There is a slight animation in background of the buttons and at the top, the testimonals and the pictures on each of the sections. I tried to make it so it wasnt super annoying.
Thanks for the observations Rev - much appreciated buddy :)

pretty darn good. the only thing I would say is the the part above the content is a lil overpowering I find myself looking at the text sliding in more than content. I would sugesst a better topology (but yours is good) or have that part above change also with the links. Something subtle. BUt that is just being over scrutinous. To the normal eye it is cool....gj

Thanks 3d-iva
That's one thing that I designed the site with in mind, is changing the top image whenever the section changes below it. In fact, in the "demo room" we are going to have the eye candy up top and the info in the middle section. Thanks for the comments man :) I think if I fade the text at the top like Rev had suggested, it could take away from the "control" factor you talked about.
Did either of you have trouble finding the menu at the bottom? There will be images in there soon with the text to jaz it up a bit, but for now it's just text. Was it easy to use and/or find?

*sneaks back to the site* I would say yes since I did not even know it was there
eh I think was just me being blind. It says sub nav. although I would dress it a lil diff but its cool. I think most will see it

didn't even notice it was there. there is just soooo much going on. you have 2 or 3 things in motion at all times...
I pity the epileptics who view this site...
j/k
it will be hard to make that sub nav visible when you have so much glitter going on.

i like it. clean and simple; easy to navigate.
maybe up the speed of the transitions, especially on the pictures, or up the fps. they seem too slow for impatient people like myslef.
the font is clear but is kinda boring. maybe use something other than arial for the buttons. i also think the button rollovers maybe couldve used a little more.
did u make the free tactic thing too? thats pretty spiffy. i was impressed by the loading time; im on cable and it didnt take any time at all, though the preloader had some gigantic number. the video was pretty low quality, but what u cant do much about that.
finally i think the top area is a little bland. u may have well have done it in html, though your idea about it changin with each section is good.
nice job

thanks a lot for the imput guys... very very helpful.
As for the bottom section - I think what I will do to change it around is change the bars/buttons to a red chrome look to give it a bit more attention. I will also have a section load automatically when the site loads - so to make you read it right from the begining.
Rev - what do you suggest I do to take away from the animations. If it is bugging you, I would like to know how to go about fixing it. Keep in mind though - i need to have some animation at all times - keeps the user interested and most importantly - the boss wants it ;)
gmh526 - great critique, thank you. As for the speed - it's already at 30fps, I just have the transitions streatched out. I wanted people to be able to see the images before a new one loaded. Maybe I will speed it up a bit, take out a few frames. As for the buttons, I agree - a new font wouldnt be a bad thing, and the roll overs are pretty plain. I will have a go at those when I get some more time for little tweaks.
As for the free tactic - yah, I did make it, and thanks. We shoot our own video at work with a camera and greenscreen and our video guy changes the background and such as needed.

A fine job, but it lacks something that would make it perfect. I'm not good enough to know what "It" is...
Here's someting worth reading.....

This might (As in my case) change the way you look at text forever.
Good luck...
