So this might not be the right thread for this completely.. but what I need is an FTP client that doesnt have to touch the registry or install. I'm at a lame school computer with no permissions basically. Its a windows box, any suggestions?

well you'll most likely have the problem that some schools block port 21, and it's sounds to me your school is one of them. i'm not sure about your orginal quesiton, but if they have ie 6 you can connect to ftp's through your browser.

bpftp runs out of a folder ;)
you can install on one machine, burn the folder and all subdir's onto cd and then just copy the folder to another comp and it will run sufficiently

cool, i'll try bpftp. I don't think that they are blocking port 21.. they just don't want people installing **** on their computers. I'll check into the browser FTP's too. thanks a lot guys.
