i really needed to learn java2 because i'll be using this language for my thesis. i know some of you guys would recommend buying a book. but i know there's something in the net. just like this [kirupa.com].

Bruck Eckel's "Thinking in Java" is free to download from the internet. You can download it from his site here:

Sorry I don't have anything besides that. The java.sun.com website has an ok forum but as far as tutorials go they are pretty shaky.
