I just recently registered here.

Thumbs up too the Kirupa Team, great website and forum.

Anyways, I'm looking for some help. I'm designing a website, in which the customer wants Music Playing in the background.

Any help?

The most compatible way to do it is surprisingly.. using Flash...

and I'm not marketting the site for this or anything... Cause I love PHP more than flash... hehe... But...

Flash has the best music compression when compared to other regular compressors... Just look through the forums and find some help on it... I don't quite rmemeber much of the commands in my head fo the flash idea beause I've been out of the loop for a while now.. hehe

if u are trying HTML, u can try...
<embed src="musicfile.mid" width=150 height=50 autostart=true loop=true>
if u do not want the player to be shown, add another parameter hidden=true and the player will be gone...

If I were to buy a domain would it allow me to host music files?

your best bet is to probably insert an extremely small flash movie that plays sound, just make it the same color of your bg and your staright. ive done it before
