Hey everyone, I'm new to programming in Action Script, though I've messed around a bit in Java and Visual Basic. For our class we've been assigned to make a flash game in groups, and our group has decided they want to do a base defense game. I've been looking hard for open source/tutorial versions of a simple base defense game, but all I've found are tower defense games. Can anyone help me out with a link to an open source AS3 base defense game? I'd really appreciate the help.
Thanks!

Try building something first, and then asking questions when you get stuck.

Problem with that is while I understand game logic and can follow an open source/ tutorial I don't know enough about the syntax of AS3 to actually build it myself:P

I understand that a tower defense game is a subgenre of the defense game genre... So what is a base defense game? Is it a small zone where enemies flock to, that you need to defend? Is this zone in the middle/ on the side of the screen? Or do enemies follow a path? Be more specific and we can offer more specific help.
