not a valid gif ???

Hello,

I am trying to add a custom avartar and it's not working.
It keeps saying that my file is not a valid gif or jpg but I know it's fine cause I use it on 2 other forums that are exactly the same as this one (same application)

does anybody know how I can
overcome this minor inconvenience?

i even went to other threads and copied someone else's avartar (that is being used right now) and temporarly tried to add that one but to no avail... (still says not a valid gif :q: :q: )

Hmm...that is strange, I don't see why you can't use it.

Are you uploading it to the forum server or hotlinking it from your server?

I don't know whats up, but i'm wondering if it is the method of adding the avatar.

have you tried sticking your tongue out, and humming, while hitting the submit button?

first i tried to hot link it from my server, then i downloaded the pic from my server to my machine and tried uploading it directly from my machine but that also gave me the error message.

oh well ... i will make another one I guess :(

Ok well I still have absolutely no clue why it was giving you that error, but I added the avatar myself and it seems to work :-\
