Is there a way to get around this new msn messenger? I am at school atm, and cannot 'install' anything onto these computers. However, I can download the actual files for a program, and run it like that without going through an install process.

Am I able to just copy and paste the msnmessenger directory into the current one on this hard drive?

MSN updated their version to where you must install the update in order to use it.

Unless you not only want to individually edit and create some registry keys (if your computers even allow that) then simply copying and pasting the files into the respective directories will not work. You shouldn't try a force install of any computer when the policy is you shouldn't. You might get into more trouble that way.

I agree. That could get you in a buncha trouble.

And as a former "student technology assistant" who took care of school computers, I say don't you DARE try and install anything anymore :)

When I restart it all changes to the comptuer are automatically deleted and taken back to the origional condition. So I can screw around with it, I dont have access to the registry though, unless I can get a hack to open the registry files.

Most viruses dont even work on these!

And I must say, haxorz (or haxors) is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of second only to "Yins" which you'll hear peoples from Pittsburgh throwing around...

A side note - Google has "haxor" as a language setting, along with Elmer Fudd and others...

try rebooting into safemode and then screwing around with stuff

chances are, if they're running some sort of security software it won't load in safemode...

but i must advise, if you're caught trying to do something like that you may get your computer priveleges taken away forever or have to write some stupid essay or something...your call really.
