I wouldn't have you grieve over those whose time has come...

For those who haven't read the book yet, here are some scenes that you should be looking forward to:

1) The Shelob's lair - you will see the power of Galadriel's Star
2) The Battle of the Pelennor Fields! - you will see the true power Aragorn, the Dunedain and the Dead Army!
3) The valor of Eowyn
4) The battle of the Shire
5) The wedding or Arwen and Aragorn
6) The death of Saruman

For me what I really want to see is the part in the Appendix in the book. It has the juicest part! I don't expect that it would be shown though cuz it would take a whole 2 or more hours.

:)

IMO, I don't want the Lord of the Rings to end!

Amazing.

On a side note - your footer quote RelandR made me laugh pretty hard - thanks :)

I think this is possibly the best series that has ever been made. Star Wars was good ... but this I think is better. And this last installment seems like it's going to be the best of the bunch.

I'm antsy ... :) But I like it!

I'll probably see the second one December 10 when it will be showing in the make-shift movie theater the campus has. The third one, I'll probably see next...year in the same place hehe.

For those who haven't seen the The two Towers yet just wait until November this year for the Extended DVD Edition set. It is composed of the 4 DVD and about 4hours plus of movie enjoyment! I have seen the Extended Edition of the Fellowship of the Ring and alot has been added and I mean ALOT! :)

I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends, and break all bonds of fellowship. But it is not this day! This day we fight!

I can't wait for the final part! I am happy to be born on this generation. The marvels are great!

Select theaters will also be playing FotR and TTT extended versions just before the release of RotK.

I'd have to disagree...how about the Matrix? Even though its only 2 split into 3...i think it still counts as a trilogy?

:stunned:

argh!! I cant wait...this year is gonna be amazing...Return of the King, Revolutions and Deus ex 2 Invisible War!!! the last one is a much anticpated video game i'm dying to play

I dont know. I adore Matrix, but I still think it cant quite touch LOTR

i agree. i almost wish matrix had only been 1 movie...

LOTR is everything it should be IMO. It's so well done, and I'm so
glad i have no reason to hate it. I was so worried it was gonna
be terrible.

I love the new trailer, and I'm so stoked for ROTK.

To compare matrix and LOTR, try comparing a pebble to a mountain! The elven language alone took Tolkien years to develop!

This is like the year of the big trilogys. We got revolutions and return of the king. Im so freaking excited

that was the worst trailer I've ever seen. Pointless dialogue eclipsed even crappier music. what the **** were they thinking.

that's like, crap when you put it beside the two towers trailer.

edit: I meant worse than crap. my mistake.

edit 2: Don't think I'm not stoked about this movie, I can't wait, just like everyone else. But that was still a terrible, terrible, crappy trailer.

I'd have to say LOTR is way above matrix really. For one LOTR does so much with just natural landscape with stuff they build on it, where Matrix requires a ton of special effects to make it interesting. The original Matrix film was awesome, it was deep but not so deep that it made your head spin. Matrix Reloaded I liked but didnt care for the dialogue at all. If i have to hear the words cause and effect in the next movie too many more times its going to drive me crazy. :m:
