Yeah, that's pretty nice. Not sure why it matters that it's on Tumblr, though.

Agreed that it's nice no matter what kind of site it is. I mention the implementation because it goes beyond the typical boundaries most Tumblr themes seem to follow. That's all.

It is indeed a well-organized site, fresh with boxy look. I agree tumblr themes needs some fresh dynamic look better than the old ones.

@shane - Very nice, dude. I like the art style.

I also love the disregard for navigation focus. It works well in this case.. Too often I find rants that would call that out as UX blasphemy, and the only sources they provide for reasoning is other people complaining in the same fashion, almost word-for-word. It almost always comes back to some article they read somewhere onetime from some blogger who said it didn't work for them.

The fact of the matter is, too many people make stupid thoughtless decisions based on what somebody else said.

I'm comforted by the idea that designers like this can still think for themselves and make good decisions.

(The focus is the blog content. The primary navigation, any more prominent, would be in the way. It's there, and easy enough to find if you _need_ it. Well done.)

Its a very unique Tumblr theme. Not the best, but still a very attractive one :)
