I read on your blog, that you consider your 2D engine and ISO engine. Isn't the logic in your ISO engine 2D than? If thats the case you'd be much better off writing just one 2D engine with two different views? You could even write a view with a rpg perspective, but you'd keep all the features of your engine without having to rewrite a thing.

I don't know if you already have, but it may be a good idea to split up your features in packages, so people can use only the parts they need. For example you'd have a views package split up in packages 2D, ISO and RPG packages (or an AI package split up in single character or team AI)

You are right isometric perspective is a subdivision of 2D. I just want to differentiate classic 2D and Iso2D.
In fact even if I am still working on the new architecture for FlashGameMaker(component based architecture ?), IsoEngine et "classic" 2DEngine will be two independent engines.
You have some great ideas. If you have some free time join the project. We may come up with a better designed engine together. (Better than Push Button hopefully)

Hi everybody, I just released a couple of new components. Just to give a quick overview lately we have created a simple cursor component in order to display a customized cursor, a jauge and a jaugeMove component to recreate games like Sonic at the Olympic. The blog is now updated and you can try some of the featured component directy from there http://flashgamemakeras3.blogspot.com/ We still need coders and graphist to develop games and other components such as zSorting, tweener, chrono or else. It is really simple to understand of the engine FGM works and simple to develop components. Please contact us for more details or subscribe to the google group http://groups.google.com.au/group/flashgamemaker

Hi,

I have started the tutorial here (http://flashgamemakeras3.blogspot.com/p/business-plan.html) is the first one. Please give some critical thaught to improve: Do you think they are useful? Do you think it is clear, simple and well explained? Do you think it is exhaustif? What could we add or improve?
Also tome of the games (http://flashgamemakeras3.blogspot.com/p/marketing.html) have been updated with a better scrolling, jump move and a better jauge for the Olympic game. What do you think of Kawaii-Olympic,Kawaii-Fight and Kawaii-Island?
Thanks in advance AngelStreet

Hi Seninnjeckson,
I suggest first that you try to gather some general information on the list of website below since my engine need medium skills in ActionScript programming and game concept.
I exclusively create AS3 to build my games but there is also language such as C++ and JAVA that may consider. I am specialised in isometric games.

Hi guys, There is some new cool components or features on FGM and the games are becoming closer to an end. Just update the SVN version of the project or try the games online here (http://flashgamemakeras3.blogspot.com/p/marketing.html). There is still room for graphist and coder on the project please PM if you are interested.
