View Full Version : Why doesn't this look good on AOL?

i made this layout in photoshop, then exported to dreamweaver and made it html, and it looks great on my computer, but one of my friends informed me that it looks like sh!t on AOL... i'm not sure what he's talking about, and have no way of testing it on AOL... can someone help me?

because it's AOL :P
I believe AOL use 256 colours on all images, no matter whether they are normal images or not...

Are you serious? If so, that would be the saddest thing I have ever heard... well almost.
AOL sucks... i dont understand why people would use it?

welcome to the real world of wedesign. AOL plays by its own rules which is what makes it so hard on us. What I would suggest is use a browser sniffer and redirect the user to a simple page explaining or an alternate site you created for aol. You think AOL is a ***** try coding for web tv now that sucks. You are going to lose viewers no matter what unless you detect browser and settings the redirect. Which is an awful lot of work. Take it from me.

i personally dont design for AOL unless the clients requests that i do.
