I was recently given the task of creating the webpage for my school's physics department. I want to recreate a textbook where you would actually have to flip the page to get to the next section. While searching the net, I found exactly what I was looking for.

How on earth can I recreate that effect? I know it has somethning to do with rotations and dragging a mask with the mouse but how? I'm totally lost. Any ideas would be very helpful.

I did a poorer version of the same thing a bit back for a guestbook I was doing. Never turned out that good.
Most of this effect is the time put into it. It requires you to make a faux page which contains a "holder" movie clip. That is a clip that you can load swf's into. Then you have to create the page that is flipping over, this requires serious work to get it right. The holder page is placed on a masked layer so that the other page will act above it, while still allowing you to see the triangular (still revealed) section of the holder clip.
The drag and drop is not too difficult to work out.
I will take a look for the swf that is my first attempt at this effect. I should be able to find it pretty quickly. At least it would give you the basics of the thing. It's still going to take a lot of work though. There is no easy way of doing this effect.
If I find it, it will be this morning some time. If you don't hear back from me by 11 AM EST or so, then I didn't find the thing. :)

You'll have to look in the library, under the object "page" to see the effect and how I accomplished it's creation. like I said.. not as good as these guys did, but it's something to work off of anyway.
