I'm having a little writer's block so I thought I'd see what everyone thought of my site so far and if you have any suggestions or ideas. The parts I am stuck at are: 1) a way to display a list of officer's names so it looks cool 2) some way to launch the photo galleries for our past trips. I have both of the gallerys finished i just can't think of a way to have two buttons on that section and make it look decent.
Anyways, any suggestions are welcome because I'm at a huge standstill and trying to get this finished tomorrow.
thanks

I guess I need to work on the navigation too. The menu slides up when you roll over the green bar at the bottom. I'll change it so it stands out a little better.

I did not notice that but it does need some work and maybe you should loose the green.

made a few little changes...ditched the background color and fixed the menu. Does the yellow part of the menu look fuzzy to anyone else or have I just been staring at the screen for too long?

I like the engine of it....the navigation if u will :) but I find the pictures very welll dead, I would take that images all of them in photoshop and really tryed to bring up the tones of the image, make them crisper with unsharp mask effect and I would play with contrast of an image...the nav is good, but font doesnt fit the navigation I would suggest u www.fontsforflash.com there are some freebies that would fit better. good start!
how about a logo....and some small sounds on mouse over or menu open :)

do you mean the font on the menu or the font for the textboxes? I looked at the freebies at FFF and the only one that caught my eye was harmony. I'll throw that in and see how it looks. I'm diggin through chank and 1001fonts to see if I can find anything better but no luck so far. I'll see what I can do with those photos, I see what you mean about them being pretty flat. They were free so I can't complain.
thanks for the input

allright i have just noticed the menu and how it works, i like it very nice and i like the X-Y navigation you got there but there is a big problem you should do some thing a bout the background pictures.
here is an idea of a boarder. if you don't like youat least change the green to something else. maybe a more blueish color

ok
I fixed up the background pics...looks alot better now. Still working on the font. Harmony at 6 px was way too small and looked like crap if I made it any bigger.
