(...) this is a common usage among professionals in their mails, it simply illustrates the citation or say the importance of the word mentioned or sentence...this is what I think it is :)

the chica is indeed britney murphey
the eplipses(...) implies a continued thought in my opinion as it by definition implies the continuation of a string of examples.
ie. colors are red, blue, green, etc...

like
okay.... (what's your point?)
or
thanks... (for nothing)

well, for me, i think (...) means the same as speaking the words calmly... all caps like "I WON THE GAME!" is same as yelling.. :) :P

uh... yeah, like soul said, there was a legitimate question, and it's person to person, not pirate to pirate. Loosen up a bit. No one said anything about pirating software until you showed up.:-\

yeah, and anyway, what's the point of "going back to the topic" if the question posed in the topic was answered by the first reply :sure:

you can password protect a zip or a rar file so when the user obtains it they have to know the pword at least I believe you can do that, if my memeory serves me correctly and I am sorry if someone said this already.

very true 3d, good call. You can also rename your zipped file and change your shared folder to a folder that contains only the randomly named file if you are trying to specifically transfer files only to one person for some reason.

or you could just get msn messenger and send the files directly to the person that way (AIM or ICQ would work too I guess).

yeah, but I'm assuming there's a reason the question was posed about kazaa. Firewalls sometimes prevent direct transfer between messenger programs, etc...

how would it work? normally if kazaa can only find one source of a file, it won't let you download. the whole password thing just wouldn't function. Since there's only going to be one such zip with one such password in existence. needle in a haystack anyone? :)

Is there a way you can locate a person by that kazaa name??

I was going to suggest this, but 3d-iva beat me to the punch. When the person is searching Kazaa, since you would have "Tim McGraw - Renegade.zip" or something, they need to put 'documents' as their search though.

Using zip files can cause a lot of overhead too. Maybe it'd be better if you put all music files from the same CD, or the same artist together it would be better. I dunno, I'm just rambling now so I'm gonna stop.

As a side note, (...) is to me, a longer than normal pause in speech.
"You know ... like this ... sorta."
When used at the end of a sentence, I use it as more or less a period to an incomplete idea, not neccesarily an incomplete sentence.
"In class today my prof was totally on my case..."

I dunno, I think it's up to each person to decide what (...) is used for and when. And me? I choose now...

just send the zip over msn or icq or irc or something.
you'll never be able to find one lone zip file in kazaa :sure:
