Arlight guys, I got a problem!

I installed win 2k again on my pc (now I can boot Win2k or Win2k :sigh: ) Anyway, I was just finishing up setting up drivers from my video card, (new ones I downloaded from Nvdea.com) And behold my monitor starts going black every few seconds then going back up, then black again.. etc..

Anyone has any idea whats going on? My system is not the most stable at the moment, I think my HD is shot, I am going to go exchange it pretty soon. Anyway, I messed around witht he display, and that hasnt helped much. My computer is still giving me the "Monitor Rave:sure:" problem.

Okay.. Thanks

First off, what video card do you have...and which drivers did you install?

just a wild guess, I think it could possible be your refresh rate settings. You can try a lower refresh rate by going to display properties > settings > advanced > monitor and set the settings from there. mine is at 70

Don't you mean Geforce 4 AGP ??

Were there any drivers installed before you installed the Denonator drivers (nvidia)?

if so you would have to unistall those drivers, then restart your computer then install the new nvidia drivers.

Like Mak said as well, you might need to change your screen resolution as well. if you are using plug and play drivers for your monitor, then try to find the proper drivers for you monitor and install those. This will allow you to see the maximum Refresh rate your monitor can achieve.

:: Im running a Geforce 2 MX 400 AGP 32 mg on a 19 inch monitor at 85 Hz and had no problems.

Nope, its PCI, I got an old machine.

I did have drivers installed on my other Win2k boot, but nothing on this one. It told me that the system in the new boot dosent know the hardware and I needed to install software.
