After seeing what Rev's illustrious count down was all about (I had it figured out btw ;) ) It brought back an interview I heard 2 days ago.

Apperently Barry Bonds doesnt want to continue playing baseball because he doesnt "love" it anymore. He says he just doesnt have the passion for it anymore. Personally I can uderstand what he is saying, especially after just loosing his father who was one of his biggest reason for playing in the first place. But after seeing him in action last night - I wonder is it true. I mean just look at how he hits the ball and how he leaves it out there on the field - he's too **** good. He's top 10 all time in my books - no doubt. From the Killer B's act to being the headline in San Fran he is amazing. I really hope he decides to hang on - he's only 100 away from hammerin' hank... that's 2 - 3 seasons tops for him.

what do you baseball fans thinK?

He will stick around... He wants Babe's number (it's now the only record of the Babe's that Barry hasn't broken)...

I sure hope he sticks it out. I think he has a contract through 2006...

It has been an absolute pleasure to watch the best player that ever played the game for the last 10 years...

I may go watch the 12:35 game today...

it is a beautiful day in SF...

Barry Bonds is the kind of player who, as a fan of another team, I would love to see leave the game. Bottom line - he forces teams to account for him, and even when they think they've got the best of him, he makes them look silly.

I'd LOVE to see him leave - I'm also a fan of old records instead of the new history, I want Hank's HR record to stand.

i dont think barry will leave until he gets a ring. im not sure if he's won a WS before, but he's got a great chance right now to win one.

nope...

never won a championship. not even in Little League...

His son has 2 championships already, and Barry has none.

This has been a thorn in Barry's side for a long time.

He'll get it this year...

I never followed baseball that closely until the great homerun chase of 1998...

I hate to admit that I didn't like Barry Bonds very much when he broke McGwire's homerun record in 2001...I felt like it was too soon and too easy for him to break it. Maybe if he had two or three seasons in a row where he hit 50+ homers and he had worked up to it, but that season has been the only one in which Barry has 50+ homers (kinda weird really)

BUT

after watching him play for the last few years and realizing what he has done in his career, I've been converted. One could even venture to say that he's the greatest player of the modern era. I hope he does what his heart tells him...if he doesn't want to play anymore, then he shouldn't.

I have never seen anyone hit a ball farther in my life. Juiced baseball's or not - he hit's it over 450 feet consistantly, no one else in the majors hit's with that kind of power on a regular basis.

well, he ha s hit the ball 28 times for a home run, into the bay. In all the 7 years that Pac Bell has been around, only 3 other players have hit the water...

He is the best player that has ever lived...

ever...

The Cubs are 1 game behind Houston for the NL Central lead. They're also just 2 games behind Philly for the Wild Card. Florida is just ½ game back of Philly. There are Four teams within 2 games of each other and only two will make the playoffs.

I would love to see Barry continue playing, he is simply awsome to watch

in other news, a Giants fan kills a Dodgers fan... http://www.msnbc.com/news/969399.asp?0cv=CB10

kinda reminds me of "football" in Europe where fans go crazy over rivalries!!

also, bonds is now within 3 of passing Mays
