Sup everybody, sorry I haven't been on here much but I can't get on @ work anymore and I've been busy @ home lately...
Anyways, I've really been craving a tattoo for awhile and finally designed something I really like. It is my initials and I was planning on putting it on my upper back...
What do you guys think?
http://taylortap.com/images/Tattoo.jpg
P.S. If you think ppl shouldn't get tattoo's then don't respond because I only want to hear what people think of this design.
Peace and much respect,
The DP

Its okay, your eye gets a bit discarted on it. But, what do those stand for?
TAP?
Toads And Peaches?
Tour And Preach?
Trogodor And Phill?

It's not really the style I'd choose,
but for what it's worth -
I think the "A" being tilted different than the others somehow doesn't fit right to my eye
... is this going to be LARGE ???

I dont suggest you or anyone to get a tattoo, few months ago a famous dj n pop artist (girl) died due to an infection coz'd by a tattoo. They got it done from one of the famous places in usa, just for her first video, it was tragic :( she signed a contract too
i will not take that chance but it's upto u.

Well, I've had one since I was about 21, and I love it. :)

Hurt a little bit to have it done, but there was no infection and it was healed after a week.
Apparently it's supposed to hurt more where you have less padding, so probably depends on where you have it...

Just one question...
Why would you have your own name on your back? In case you froget? Might as well write it on your underwear. Like RR said, if you want to have it strech accross your back, it will have to be huge.
Kitimariana....
I hope to god what you have written on ur belley is not stuff like "Love"or "hate" or crap like " Danger" and "beauty" , You know crap that will be outdated reeeaaall soon. I hope it says things like "Burning" "monkey"... :beam:

That's her on the left and the heart logo-sign u see in center was designed on her arm.

tattoos can be totally safe if the tattoo artist disinfects everything and changes his ink regularly.
i made my tattoo artist unwrap my needle from the shrinkwrap and then i also requested fresh ink. he was ok with that. if the tatoo artist starts getting annoyed for some reason, you probably don't want him doing your tattoo.
jas, i think it's perfectly safe, i mean, look at me, i've had mine for 3 years and haven't died yet or gotten hepatitis, etc.

First, Tattoo artists around my way (new hampshire, were there are a billion tattoo studios) and in most places are required by law to show you the new needles and pour new ink as well as be certified in a number of things.
Second, you could potentially die from just about anything you do. Crossing the street, driving your car, eating dinner but..we do all of these things anyway. It is no different when you get a tattoo..
Digital...its a pretty nice design, i know others opinions are nice but, if you really want it then get it, its your body. I think it would like nice about 1.5 inches and centered between the shoulder blades but, thats just me... and i am biases I am a huge fan of tattoos. :)

I kno pinx, it's safe thats why ppl get it done. This girl got it done from usa, signed a contract too(that she will be responsible for everything) According to the recording company (which released this album) It was their idea and they made sure everything was best as they invested a lot on her already.
Reports and rumors say that few other ppl from the same unit also got few done from the same artist with same colors and stuff, it only infected this girl, others are normal. It's a mystery now, you mean no one ever got infected and died becoz of a tattoo? i dont have much information on this as tattoo and piercing stuff is not really famous in india. This stuff is new here.
Me and my gf are also planning to get a tattoo done after getting married :P on the arm, half of the design on her arm and rest half on min and it will make sense when we bring our arms togather... something like tht :P
=)

Oh, yea people can die from them. You can get hepatitis, infections etc.. but, it is a very small percentage and it would be a result of a dirty needle. Every morning when you get up you are taking a risk, so enjoy it

Right, i think she died coz of ill luck.
I kno anything can happen in matter of seconds, but you take extra care when you think it's important for someone else too, then again whatever has to happen, it will.
All we can do is be positive and take things as they come, always hoping for the best =)

And you, bring me to my knees again
All this time when I would beg you please - in vain
All the time when I felt insecure - for you
And I leave my burdens at the door.
It's been awhile since I listened to their album. My cassette tape collection are collecting dust. Ah, the good old days! :)

The tattoos style is a little trendy but looks good. And ya at 60 i'll have more problems to worry about then a patch of black wrinkly skin.
I get my tattoos next month. I'm doing a web site on trade for my tattoo and percing work.

My parents were a little surprised when they found out I had one, but I love mine. :)
When I had it done I made sure it was a reputatble tattooist, all clean, nothing dodgy... And I didn't have any problems. They warned me that some people bleed a lot and that you have to look after it, but I didn't have any trouble at all. Healed like a dream and (in my opinion at least) looks awesome. :)

I once had one Henna-ed on the back of my neck (it was some symbol, i forget) just to guage my parents' reaction. unsurprisingly, they flipped. it took quite a lot to convince them that it was just temporary. i would do it again though, perhaps with a real one ;)
my parents get upset quite easily when it comes to this kind of thing. last year in college i bleached my hair and when i came home the first thing they said was "what did you do to your hair?!??!?" i didn't see anything wrong with it. my hair is now its original color and my head feels fine. even the silver leprechaun that visits me every now and then tells me i'm ok. :-\

Get what you want and have faith in medical advances and new technology. Also put it in a place you won't see it. Then if you stop liking having a tattoo you won't see it anyway.

an insect bite can become infected ... not from the insect nec., but if scratched after and the right germ thingy gets in there...
with all the precautions taken on that girl who died...she easily could've got it infected after the fact
watching for signs of infection and not letting them pass is crucial

September 18th, 2003, 03:34 PM
yea she cud have got infected from something else too as i mentioned few other ppl getting the tattoos done from the same artist after her turn.

I don't get the chinese japanese whatever symbols. Why???
Nobody gets it until you tell them, and to be honest, you didn't either. For all you know whoever told you was lying and they think this is a grand joke.
And tattoos in general - if you drew on yourself 20 years ago, would you like it now? No, because you were a ******* back then. And you're a ******* now too, but you just won't realize it for another 20 years.

Also, I love RvB. The stuff i said above came from them. I'll do a quick forum search, and if nobody else has mentioned it, it's being mentioned!

Getting back to the original topic rather than a flame war... :)
Isn't across the shoulders where Becks has one? Or is that his back? I dunno. It's cool anyway, though since there isn't much in the way of padding there, it's probably one of the more painful places. :)
The difficult bit is that you aren't allowed to get the tat wet for about a week or so, until it's healed. That's near on impossible sometimes, at least it was with mine... :P

Digital,
That would be a sweet tattie. I am a big fan of the font you used "VTC Tribal"
(Notice the lettering in my footer)
I was considering a peice with words a while back and would have used the very same lettering.
Make sure its what you want man, your going to be tied to it for a ling time. I am definitly an advocate of tattoo's with 3 already and a fourth in the works (when I can afford it, its going to be massive)
Good luck man.

The tat came out nice. ****it, I shouldn't have even looked, I'm getting the overwhelming urge to drive down to immortal images with $150. ;)
Kit, you're right about the back thing. I got the one on my shoulderblade and I don't have very much padding anywhere :P. I'm about 6'1" 160lbs so at times it felt like that needle was giving me a spinal tap rather than a stick but I loved every minute of it. It's not really pain like hitting yourself with a hammer or something, it's like getting shocked and pinched and tickled at the same time. (Unless it's on the bone then :( )

I guess because tattoos are generally personal things, something that means something to you. :)
So names, initials... Mine is my nickname, part of my full name and just a great all round description anyway. ;) I guess it's all down to what you feel comfortable with, since once it's there, it's going to be ther a long time (laser surgery notwithstanding of course :) ).
