Ok heres a site for a canadian record comapny ive been doing,
They have specified the design and content , and have only given me enough stuff to complete it to its current state.

http://www.rakerecords.com

I would like to know peoples opinions (not on the color scheme or content as i say they are client chosen)

But what are the loading times like ? does the text display OK on everyones PC as its mainly dynamic ? Is it all readable on different monitors /spec machines ?

Any help welcomed :P

(PS im already working on a proper intro to the main bands section which loads in with a home page type thing , but need content from the client, so not yet :( also the MP3 player will be recieving a major overhaul soon :))

the font on the left bar is a little hard to read (the news) and the fonts in general are a bit blurry. I am on a crappy school computer right now though, so I could be wrong, I'm also in hi res.

blurry huh, which bit in particluar.

The news bit is all dynamic text so that might explain why that could be blurry , but the buttons etc arent.
i wonder why they are blurry for you ????

I understand that, but you as a developer of the site have more freedom of creation then them. Yes they like orange only, but making the site completely in one tone, makes it hard to read for me. See that color on your upper nav, that dark orange well that color would fit excellent on the background section that has nav ::fansite:: ::catalogue:: ::tours:: that will give ur site contrast, and I dont think they would complain about it, just tell them see how easy it is to read...:: the transition is nice too, and loaded very fast too :) I would make the logo a bit different then the nav and more exiting by adding a shadow or a small litlle touch that makes a big difference in design.

i may change the color on the background behind those buttons you mentioned , not a bad idea.
As for look well i have already changed their original idea a bit :)
they wanted it to be Bright orange and green originally (-:

So what you see has already been comprimised from their original brief, also i kinda like the orange :beam:

Ill certainly look into what you said though cheers
