What's your favorite animated movie of all time? Computer animated or regular 2D animation...

My top 5 list:
1. Finding Nemo
2. Ice Age
3. The Lion King
4. Shrek
5. Beauty And The Beast (what can I say? Belle is hot!)

Shreck is prolly the top - followed closly by Lion King and Sleeping Beauty.

I just bought the sleeping beauty special edition last week - what an amazing movie, the perfect fairy tail. I had never seen it before. Watched it with my mom and Girl Friend for some extra brownie points ;)

1. Akira
2. Cowboy Bebop: The Movie
3. Princess Mononoke
4. Ghost in the Shell
5. Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

Finding Nemo hasn't been released in the UK yet, but I've heard good things. (For anyone who's wondering, most of the CGI films come in my top 10, just not my top 5)

Waking Life is the best Animated Movie ever, because of its uniqueness. Runners up, IMO, would include AKIRA, and ANIMATRIX

Castle in the Sky
Spirited Away
Green Legend Ran
Ghost in the Shell
Vampire Hunter D (+Bloodlust)

(I liked Akira as well as Shrek, both pretty good films.)

Cheers!

Dunno about top five, but Akira, Final Fantasy and Ghost In The Shell just have to be in there.

The only reason Cowboy Bebop isn't is because I haven't seen it yet. :)

Ha - must have been a slip of the tounge! no, watch the series first. it'll mean you appreciate the film a whole lot better, and it will make a bit more sense. The movie takes place somewhere between episodes 22 and 23.. or is it 23 and 24... I forget :)

It does indeed take place during the story timeline, yes. but since nearly every episode is more or less isolated from the previous and next one (other than a few underlying, long-term storylines) it isn't particularly obvious :)

and yes BadMagick, it's probably the greatest anime series of.. well.. all time :thumb:

I think I remember Flight Of Dragons actually... Many years back now. I might even have it on video...

Providing we're talking about the same one of course... This one was where there was a realm of magic and the only way it could be saved was by a scientist? :)

I DON"T LIKE COWBOY BEBOP BECAUSE THE MAIN CHARACTER DOESN'T DIE EVEN IF HIS STOMACH IS TWISTED, SHOT TWICE AT CLOSE RANGE THEN THROWN OFF THE TRAIN! :m:

And he acts COOL afterwards too! :P
