i personally liked this movie. i thought it was a nice refreshing move away from the really bad movies out there this summer. plus johnny depp was always hot in my eyes.

Probably my biggest surprise this summer at the movies. I went in expecting to see an average movie - I left having seen a great movie.

In my top 4 this summer for sure. Depp is an amazing actor.

It was very good. It was pretty cheesy all round and there was some absolutely terrible dialogue in places, but on the whole it was a very enjoyable film. Depp was stunning, though I was hoping Orlando to be slightly better than he was. The CGI was of a good quality, but the seamless transitions between live-action and CGI (referring to Voet's 'moonlight bit') was absolutely amazing.

Ya some of the dialogue was pretty poor. This was one of the better movies of this summer. I really enjoyed it and wasnt really expecting too.

i thought the dialogue fit the kind of movie it is. it's a pirate movie, and they weren't the smartest people of all time, so i think the dialogue was fitting to the movie. also i liked captain sparrow's different wisecracks and found them quite amusing.

yes that movie was great... and depp had a light touch of "mister duke" from "fear and loathing in las vegas" - that was genius!!!
