Hi all,
I would really appreciate any feedback on a website that I am trying to create for a management firm. I'm trying to achieve a professional and clean look (I know, who isn't) but the look and feel is not visible at all.....please view for yourself. The logo also needs work. The original logo is simply an R and an A (the abbreviations) with a drop shadow.
Also, please feel free to share other "professional, clean looking" websites as well. I've been trying to emulate some but I can't seem to think outside the box. I may just scratch this design and start all over.
Please help!

Hi, Start with making the font size of the content bigger. If its unreadable to everyone then why a website?
For the header the logo and the menu blend with the header. Try to increase the contrast between them by either making the menu font sizes bigger and making the header of a more lighter shade. The menu at the bottom looks more subtle but increase that font size too.
Don't blend text colors with the background, make it blend but keep a good contrast so deepen the grey of the text again.
The logo design seems good as it is but remove the bevel if you have done so. Sometimes flat colors by itself work well with corporate sites.
Rather than scratching a design and starting over, make an attempt to make changes to the current layout and correct its weak points. If the end result still isn't up to the mark you can then start a second one with a totally different idea.

i think it's off in the right direction. hard to get a clear idea with the jpeg though, it's a bit too low res. i agree about the header though. it's pretty tough to read the links and logo with the background pattern. i wonder if just upping the font size a few points and reversing out the text to white would solve that problem...

Frankly speaking, your website design looks like a template: simple ordinary layout, dull color scheme, nothing special. No offense, it's only my personal opinion.
You logo would look better if you make it bigger.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I will definitely implement them and post the changes!
Linx, I agree that my design does look ordinary. Care to point me in any direction or share links of good looking sites so that I can gain some inspiration?
