View Full Version : What is going on?!

I've done this before, a million times... no problem.
For some reason, this time is different! This is what happened:
I made a file in Fireworks, that is essentially my menu for a site. I exported the whole thing as an HTML file in the same directory as the rest of my site (hosted off my computer, via IIS).
I then imported the menu into my page, with DreamWeaver (no compatability issues there, right?)
I save the page, view the page in IE6, and it's full of JavaScript Errors!!

Take a look!
Why would it be doing this?!
HELP!
:ninja:

You're not getting any errors at all on the page above!?
I get them on every computer I've tried it at... home, school, work, etc. Try rolling over the buttons...

Uh... did you see the first post in the thread? I'm importing a Fireworks created HTML file into Dreamweaver, and when I try to view the page, I get a bunch of errors...

look at the bottom left of your screen, there are errors, but the links do work, they just point to pages that aren't there

I think Digital is referring to the status bar...it shows a little error icon and if you double click it you see the errors

like he said, this icon ----> http://www.kirupaforum.com/forums/images/icon29.gif

Okay, do you want me to start again?
I have one HTML page made up (index.htm) I made it with DreamWeaver MX 2004.
I made up another HTML page, the menu, in Fireworks MX 2004. I do not have the othe pages yet, so the actual buttons don't go anywhere, but, they SHOULD rollover, and they don't. I imported the Fireworks code into Dreamweaver (via the insert fireworks html button), and no matter what I've tried, I get the http://www.kirupaforum.com/forums/images/icon29.gif in the bottom left, and no rollover action...
It should work just fine, I don't know why it's not....

I managed to find out the flaw... apparently, DreamWeaver MX 2004 doesn't import the JavaScript Code automatically from the fireworks files... that information would have been usefull to me YESTERDAY! Thanks everyone.:eye:
