I have been playing around with Google Chrome extensions the last few days. Anyone else done any?

Here's my latest: https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/ejmdppmmnogaandoecmdhkbcgolhfefd

Took a couple of hours. The main goal was to familiarize myself with the APIs but it turned out to be kind of a fun extension too.

Sweet, my extension got Featured in the Extensions gallery!

Edit: The Chrome Extensions homepage apparently rotates through their featured extensions as well :D

I'd actually use this if it flipped the page sideways.

That'd be a trivial update to do actually, all it does is inject a line of CSS3
body {
-webkit-transform: rotate(180deg);
}

A 90 or 270 degree rotation would make it sideways; not sure if Chrome would handle the scrollbars right or not but I'll look into it.

I recently browsed for my research work and found that the ad in the side bars are disturbing me. So I searched in Google whether I can block such ads.

I never thought that Google chrome extension itself provide the solution for my problem

The ad-blocking extension "Adblock Plus" is now available for Google Chrome and I downloaded from

"https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/cfhdojbkjhnklbpkdaibdccddilifddb (the ad-blocking extension "Adblock Plus" is now available for Google Chrome and can be downloaded from "https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/cfhdojbkjhnklbpkdaibdccddilifddb")"

I got filtered all the useless ads and I had a pleasant browsing.

Nice. I haven't made an extension for FF or Chrome before but I might check it out now. I used to have a program which would do that to the desktop for a few seconds. It was pretty funny to my friends.

Chrome will be a major browser, bigger than IE and Firefox some day.
