My computer's choking! I've notice a substantial reduction in performance lately. Scrolling is delayed ... and when I type, the letters show up like 3 seconds later.
I glanced through my startup options and noticed a new entry called CHOKE. Perfect. It's not checked, but odds are this little demon is raging through my machine. How to fix??? I'm already running the latest Norton goodies.
Thanks guys!

go to grisoft.com and get avg anti virus (there is a free version)...
it caught 21 viruses that Norton missed on mine...
I'm sure you have a virus...

Rev ... is AVG the only anti-virus program you've got running then?

yup!
that and Zone Alarm as a firewall...
I uninstalled Norton. if it can't find even 1 virus, it is useless, in my opinion... and it didn't find 21!
abzoid recommended it to me when he used it after Jubba raved about it...

Anyone ever choke on their own saliva? I do it so often it's not funny, like, I'd goto sleep and wake up at like 2AM coughing violently because I was drowning on my own saliva or somethin.:(

NO, but I've salivated over a taco before. Thanks to Phil, I think of tacos every time I pass a Burger King. :sure:

I am gonna have to disagree with the BK tacos goodness, because american singles aren't ment to be on tacos, ever.

I never really liked tacos anyway Phil. They taste pretty bad - even those at mexican restaurants. I'm not a big fan though of Mexican food :mario:

A look on my face similar to this :d: after taking a bite out of any type of Mexican food tends to work for most people :hangover:

Alright, I just went and downloaded and ran AVG 6.0 antivirus. Test results:
NORTON HAD A VIRUS IN IT! something called tutu.doc virus or some such:
C:\Program Files\Norton SystemWorks\WINFAX\MACROS\WORD97.DOC repaired
I don't know folks... Norton never looked so bad...

Yates were your virus def's up to date for Norton? Also, what do you have Norton's virus detection "bloodhound" set to. Mine is at the max ;)

Yep. All up to date. Paid for. Everything. Perhaps it was the virus detection. All I know is that I'm turning off Norton and leaving on AVG. I'll keep it installed and run it sometimes, mostly because I paid for it...
