Is it possible to put a flash movie on an HTML page, and z-index an image to appear on top of the flash movie?
I've been working on this for a while, and I just end up with the image always appearing behind the flash movie...:rambo:

I think you could do it with DHTML layers, but I'm not entirely sure. I would google it though. Good luck.

I've tried using Layers, and Divs, and anything else I can think of, but it seems as if the Flash SWF is displayed on top of anything else on the page.... has anyone else seen this problem?

impossible, sadly :-\. That's why the QuickEdit thingy goes below Flash footers...

EDIT: Actually, I think it might be possible! This from a search of Macromedia:

The windowless mode feature can be invoked or affected by a Flash or HTML developer in the following ways:
- setting the wmode parameter in the object or embed tag
- setting the HTML Window Mode option in the Publish Settings HTML tab in the Flash Authoring tool
- setting the z-index or the style settings to layer a DIV on top of the plug-in using Cascading Style Sheets

Any luck with the layer on top of flash, trying to implement the same thing myself.

Please let us know if you got it working.

Tried it and it works but it just slows down flash and makes it jumpy..

Bugger...Wish it worked better.. :gm:
