Is there only one quality level that you can use to export your gif's from Image Ready? Every time I export my gifs they become slightly grainy and lose quality? Can you only export under optimized format???? Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance.
P.S. What's a good way to reduce file size as well? My file size is way up there right now...

gifs are like that, you can't make them perfect since they can only have a maximum of 256 - what you can do is save optomized gifs (might be called optimized octree or something like that) which saves the maximum colors in the palette from your image, taking out the ones that absent from your image...
if i were you i'd save your work in jpg, probably smaller than gifs...

ok Thanks... and one other question. How do you export an image with a transparent backround so that it stays that way and doesn't have a white background around it when you import it into flash?

that would be either as a gif with index transparency or a png with transparency, not jpg

definitely use png - even though their filesize are much greater than jpegs...
The other solution is to have the jpg and it's corresponding alpha image (black and white) which you then apply as a mask in flash (which mean you'll have to cutout the shape) it is pretty complicated and i'd stick to pngs =) !

...you can also break apart the image (or use it as a bitmap texture) and shape that shape into whatever you want in Flash.
pngs with alpha channels are cherry though. ;)
(extra points for using 'cherry' in a sentence)
