Wow, that was mean, but why is my font too big, it's not too big, and the size of the flash movie is 640&480 so what are you talking about?

ok, from what I'm seeing - it is way too big for 1024, and the font is too big. But I think you did make it correctly (for 640). But the swf embedded in the html.. you've specified it's size at 1024x768... why? that has just stretched the swf to look huge. Which is really ugly. I'm on a crap pc (amd600) but the site is really simple - why is it jerky? - perhaps you need to turn up the fps?
the menu: why do you have to click a menu to see another menu - it doesnt make sense and the transitionwhen you click on menu is too slow
needs more colour
that stats thing at the bottom isnt necessary
not liking the font/whole acsii look


Just my thoughts, but yes, you need to sort out that coding issue.

i have to agree with others on some of the points.. i'm a surfer and a newbie at flash.. i spend a lot of time looking over web sites looking for information and there are a lot to choose from for most subjects.. if yours came up on a google search i'd hit the back button and try again with another site..

the reason.. .. there's nothing there at a glance.. the music loop is too annoying with that repeating break and i wasted my time looking for the "PROFILE BUTTON" that really annoyed me as there isn't one.. .. my time is precious.. ..

so whats it all for then.. .. why am i looking at your front page.. .. there isn't anything on the page to make me want to go further.. i have to do the work.. you want me to go further into your site so drag me there.. ..

and i had to re-size my web browser to view the whole page to see if i'm missing anything.. .. remember we can zoom in.. so if you make it a little small its easy to zoom but we can't zoom out to make it fit..

technically i liked it.. great sound control.. (shame about the loop though)...
but you need to put some of the info behind the buttons on the front page..

you might know where it is and what it's all about but, i need to view at a glance to make a quick judgement on wether i want to spend any more time reading and hitting buttons.. with what you have on your page now you'd be better off putting it all down on a basic html page and using flash as a graphic on headers and images.. .. or at least giving the option to view a basic page.. .. as i said technicaly i liked it some good ideas on the layout and its diferent which is good.. sort out the sound loop and that'll make a big difference..

Personally I do not like the disjunct rollovers you have going on here. When I roll over you have 2 things going at once the text and the boxes at the bottom. Which to me is poor use of space and eye control.....add more content so I can see what is going to happen when I click. Add a lil more color or drop a color or 2. It looks like you are going for the monotone look....But you are missing it due to too many shades of the grey/brown....

I like you player however I do not like the music. I quickly pressed stop. Mello it out a lil more..... You are off to a good start. Keep it up.

For me the music is much too loud, and it's not because I've got the volume set too high, other flash sites have to sound level normal.

Where it says:

Don't frase it like that :) What that means now is that you started at the bottom, and it basically stayed at the bottom. Either say I made everything, from top to bottom, or say I made everything from scratch.

Most important I think, you should really re-think how you use the space. Like 3d-iva said, the bottom tiles that change when you roll-over is totally pointless and distracts you from the fact that you're also displaying some text to the right. It just takes up space for nothing. The "Menu {}{}{}" thing isn't cute. Loose all the curly braces.

I liked your last approach a little better just felt you needed to change a few elements. I also liked your last plaver better. But as far as simplicity goes I like this one. The colors are cool...maybe just jazz things up.....Good job on adding the volume. However having to click 50 times to get the volume down to 50 gives the finger a cramp maybe make it a slider. But keep up the good work.

ill just comment on both of em. The first one, well the first thing i notice on that one is that the music is really really intense :D the first thing i wanted to do was to stop it and luckly i found teh stop button :D, maybe try some softer music cause the site doesnt feel actiony if you know what i mean :D umm, the colors arent bad and they seem to fit well togethor but overall there isnt anything in there, theres not much or none at all of motion and animation. id suggest maybe put in some sort of animation when changing pages and more animation on the buttons? cheers :D good luck

your stop button does not work. ANd having to click 2x to get into the site is not a good thing....It is looking much better. I would say speed up your transitions since the music is rather uptempo. ALthough it is still too loud upon entering the site. Have it start at a moderate voume then let the user turn it up if they want....just .02

please ensure that the stop audio button alwyas works. sometimes it doesnt and the (in my opinion) godawful music restarts.

up the fps. im not crazy about the color shceme, and the nav is irritating in that you go to one page and then back to the main page to go to a new page.

i think it annoys most people really...i hate it myself.

also, it makes your site look unprofessional. i would suggest adding a little actionscript to the preloader to make it go into the main movie of the site automatically.

i honestly never minded it, especially if you have multiple windows open and you go off to another page while one site is loading. that way u dont miss anything.

well, i checked it again nikini.

fix the music so it doesnt restart on some pages. and also make sure that the off button always works. hate having to cut off my speakers..... :)

some of the text is really faint. change the color maybe so it doesnt look so fuzzy.

i still dislike having to go from the main page to a page back to the main page to a new page to navigate. the buttons should allow navigation from any page to another. if you want the in/out transitions to still take effect and you dont want to use extensive actionscripting (which shouldnt be a problem since youre an expert, right?) you can set it up on the timeline so ytou have a section for each possible combination. that probably wasnt very clear... for example, on the main page if you click "link" you play a transition "main to links" but if you were to go to the about section you would go to the "main to about" transition, etc, etc. it shouldnt be a problem since you have only thre pages, or you can use actionscript.

other than that im sill not a fan of the color scheme or the oval thingies, but the site is certainly progressing from your first post.

well u did a nice job on the 2nd enter page but in absolute true honesty, when i saw the first splash page...i said "w....t....f....". its a black square in teh midle of a white page....looks kindof...crap. Sorry if im being a bit harsh but as the topic says, dont be gentle :P umm...the site is pretty good, and teh music is intense but it gets a bit annoying after a while "dun di dun di di di di DI, dun di dun di di di DI...." but yeh. The one thing i would really change in my opinion only, is the music....you dont really wnat a visiter to get pissed off b4 they have even explored thru your page, maybe get the same type of music but have it long, like instead of having a 5 second song, then loop it, have a 20 second song, then loop it. Hope ive helped you out :D
