Hello,
I have a question about ftp uploading. I have uploaded my Flash files, (swf) to a ftp server. I知 not sure I知 writing the link the right way on my website.
Can someone give me an example of the way to write a link from your ftp server, to be viewed on your website.
I知 sure I致e uploaded the files correctly. I see them on the ftp server, where I uploaded them to.
But, I know I知 doing something wrong. What is it?
Thanks for your help.

You have to (well don't have to, but it is highly recommended) publish them as a .html file so you can get the embed code. Open your .fla file, go to File/Publish (or File/Publish Settings) in Flash to publish your movie. It will then produce a .html file you can use to either display your .swf of just use to get the embed code out of (by viewing the source of the HTML file)

Thanks for the help. I did what you said and my links do work now.
I have one question, on the ftp server, I uploaded both the swf files and html files,
Should I keep both groups of files or delete one or the other?
Thanks a lot.

I have 2 sets of swf and html files all published in flash MX. I am not sure which file to upload them into on my FTP server because I have an index.html and index.swf and then a mysite.html and mysite.swf. My link to the mysite.html is on the index.html page which I loaded into the HTML folder on my FTP server, along with my index.swf. Now my actual site which is a popup wont load.
Any suggestions?

The HTML file Flash generates just references to the actual .swf . Both would need to be uploaded.
All flash does for you when it generates the HTML file is, creates the HTML file with the required code to reference(embed) the .swf
