bmp's and gif's ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY!?

AAAAGH!!?!?!

im getting sooo annoyed. for some stupid reason my computer plays all gifs, as bmp files. so they dont animate. and on my forum, its the same.


can anybody please help me?!?

If your temp internet files/cache whatever gets packed and fills up, IE will start 1) preventing you from viewing source on pages, and 2) treat all online images as BMPs so if you save a gif from IE, you'll get a save as for a BMP.

to remedy this, just clear all that junk out from Tools > Internet Options...

hmmm, i went to tools>internet options>general then in the temp internet files section, i pressed the "delete files button" and nothing seemed to happen, and still, it see's them as bmp files.
