horizontal expand menu in as3

hello everybody,

i am trying to create horizontal expanding menu similar to the link mentioned below - http://activeden.net/item/horizontal-expand-xml-menu/4953

the letters are PTRAANS - if i click or rollover on 'P' letter it shud expand and show PROFESSIONAL word, it shud show active state on click and load that page.

i am attaching herewith the .fla which i tried to do. please help me..

first of all thank you very much for your help,

i checked the code on the link u gave, its in as2, i need it in as3, also the width of the each button shud b variable depending on the text it contains.

Hello everybody,

Its regarding the same menu.. i got one horizontal accordion menu and tried to modify it, i cud do it in some extent but i stuck in. I am attaching herewith the .fla which is in flash CS4 version.

The following this i am not able to rectify:
1. I want the exact width of the text on rollover (expanded position).
2. the color of the whole word shud become white on rollover or on click and shud go to respective frame label.
3. on click it shud stay to that position (color white and expanded position)
4. on first load navigation shud be in collapsed position (which is now, but the last word is not getting masked).

can anyone help me in this.
