Does anyone know how, or where a tutorial could be found showing how to create a nice drop shadow? I've read the tutorial on this site but I'd like to have it be a gradient. I've been messing around with it for a while now but my upper right edge and lower right and left corners still look weird (not smooth).
An example of exactly what I'm looking for can be found at http://www.marklearst.com. Thanks for any input.

Its pretty easy to do this effect. here is one way:
In Fireworks or Photoshop (whatever you want to use), create a grey box (same color as your page background) and make it say 600 wide by 800 tall.
Then create a black rectangle 550 Wide by 750 tall, then gausian blur it until its faded around the edges. Center it in the middle of the grey box.
Then creat the same size white rectangle (550 x 750) and place it over the top a few pixes left and higher than the first.
place the whole thing in the middle of your webpage (the one with the same grey as the first box you created). There you have it... a dropped shadow. :)
Hope this made sense, i am a little drunk just got home from a big night out.
