does anyone know of a good tutorial on how to do this, or how to draw the bottom of a cd. preferably one that a n00b can understand...
or if you can think of something that would look cool to be the navigation part of this navigation background that i made
www.barbdwyer.com/art/interface.jpg
it's going to go in the indented part...
thanks

If so it was pretty easy. But I did it in FW MX. I made a circle then a small one in the middle of it. Then did a punch modifier. To make the small hole in the middle. Then I made some grey wedges (make sure they over lap the outside and a bit in the middle. Copy the original circle with the hole in it and make it invisible. Now combine the visible circle and the wedge with intersect modifier. Do that a few ttimes. (be sure everytime before you do a intersect that you save a copy of the original circle and make it invisible. Now when you got you wedges and stuff export as a jpg then open up in PS. Use the elipse circle tool to select just inside the edge of the cd. The do a radial blur. play with settings a lil bit. That is the rough overview.
