View Full Version : Time seeoms a little off... Wrong GMT.

Every time on the forums is off by an hour.
I have double checked in my settings, and it says the timezone is set to GMT+1.
Yet, at the bottom of every page, it says:
All times are GMT +2. The time now is 02:09 PM.
Even though the time is now 1:09PM, and my settings are set to GMT +1.
I have "automatically correct Daylight Savings time" on, but it should be on to show up correctly, right?

No problems here. Have you checked the Time Zone/DST settings for the Date & Time Properties of your PC?

Yep, and they match the forum settings exactly, "GMT+1 and DST on", and it's showing up the correct time in my start menu.

Hm... I changed the DST settings from "always on" to "automatically detect DST settings".
I think I must have misunderstood that. I thought "DST corrections always on" meant, automatically correct for daylight savings time during the summer, and "automatically detect" meant check with the browser if the DST settings should be on or off.
Seems it worked. This thread can now be deleted, as it has served it's purpose.

Always on means the selected timezone observes daylight saving all year round. An example is Russia which, because of its northernly latitude is 1 hour ahead of UTC in the winter and 2 hours ahead of UTC in the summer.
Always off means the selected timezone never observes daylight saving. Examples include Japan, China, India and most countries in the equatorial regions.
