Drawing Tablets?

Hey there, was just wondering if anyone here ever makes use of those drawing tablets such as the Wacom Intuos2(sp?) and if so, what do you think of them? I hear they work really well in photoshop and a friend mentioned something about them to me and it sounded pretty cool. But as with a lot of things, things can sometimes sound a lot better than they really are. With all the crazy stuff you guys bust out and make it seem easy here, I figured i'd ask here first. Thanks for any feedback!

sorry to bring up the topic of tablets yet again, but i was just looking at a computer retailer's website, and they had Graphire 3 stuff listed...

graphire 3? I couldn't find anything about it at the official wacom site, so either it's very new, or they made a mistake... anyone know?
