Ideas needed!

Hey all,

OK, this is maybe a bit strange, but here it goes: I'm currently doing a bunch of tests day after day to get in film school. Until now, I think everything goes pretty well. The problem is that I received a task today which has to be finished by Thursday and my imagination doesn't want to co-operate. :-\
So here I am, counting on you guys to give me a couple of ideas. Aaaah, the Kirupa forums! ;)

Anyway, this is the task: "Take pictures in Brussels (buildings, people, anything...) and select 10 to present to the jury while explaining your film / documentary."

Basically, I have to come up with a story (film - fiction, fantasy, drama, whatever) or a title for a documentary and *convince* the jury to produce it, using the 10 pics I took.

I have a couple of ideas for a spooky crime story, but I'm kind of stuck. It doesn't have to be a long text or anything, just an idea that makes sense. So, any suggestions? Ideas? Plots? :crazy:

Jasninder: err, I don't have any yet. I have to take the pics *based* on the story I (or you ;)) will come up with.

Eilsoe: I was thinking of making some sort of "the evolution of Brussels", showing the very old building and the new business areas. But that's not... you know... original... I guess.

Make a movie of an evil "Manneke Pis" or make a nice panoramic rotating image that turns from old to new if you wanna stick with the old->new idea :)

Ok, lemme try and help out a fellow film maker ;)

How about a guy, one night his wife/girlfriend leaves him because she says he's too boring. He decides that his life isn't exciting enough and decides he has nothing to lose so he wants to see what he can get away with once. So he starts doing small risky things such as stealing a womans bag, then these things get bigger like stealing cars. Then robbing a bank, all these in one night. Then near the end the last thing he dies is try to kill someone, he sees another man with his wife/girlfriend. It ends with a dark, thrilling chase, you decide the ending ;)

what about brussels from the point of view of a dog; its contraints, its cool places, looking people from below, take artistic shots of people's legs, adding movement, taken shots of dogs. Having a tail.. Definitely

Well, in the Dawson's Creek series (he's a film student too), Dawson makes a movie with the help of his friends. The story is about the same of what you wrote in your first post. :)

I think I will go for a more... erm... "general" approach. Will see where this goes...

mlkdesign: not bad, but I think the jury expects something more artistic. I don't know actually, 'cause I don't have more information than what I said on top of this thread, but it's a guess.
