Has anyone seen a good bandwidth detection javascript?

Nope :( Only thing i can think of is have the user download an image and then calculate the bandwidth from there. But of course When the image is in the users cache it won't be accurate

i saw one the other day, i tried it and it didnt work =(

I don't think that's a feasable thing to attempt. The only one I've seen is a little tool at: http://www.dslreports.com
The only thing you can really do is have the viewer select their speed from a list.

I saw one the other day, I have no idea of the address, but the title of the page was Bandwidth Detection in Progress, and it showed nothing, then went to a new page a few seconds later. So I guess it can be done, unless this wasn't really doing it.
