i want the girl cut out, the hair is giving me a lot of trouble. i posted about it a while back, and figured out that i have to use the extract tool, but i can't seem to get it right...

What will it be used for...??? Is there an hourly rate...???
I have the Knockout2 plugin for PS that comes in handy for just such a task.:cool:

no, i'm just trying to mess around in photoshop, i'm going to make her color, the background black and white, her hair be the only thing color etc, i'm trying to learn PS, but im stuck w/ the hair.

yeah I just got knock out I was going to help him when I got home....hey yeldarb you should look into knockout. Ill try to hook you up when I get home man.

A very good plugin for PS that is made for extracting an image from it's background...;)

use teh extraction tool (Filters>Extractyion) think there was a thread about doing that not too long ago...
it sux that some of her hair is cut by the image borders though...

i used the extract tool plus some layer mask to take some hair by hand http://mlkdesign.online.fr/misc/kirupa/trimmed.jpg

(i can upload the psd on my personnal web space but even when reduced by 50% it's still 3 meg and I don't have unlimited space so it'll have to stay there just a few days =))
