What are your memories of 2036?
I remember 2036 very clearly. It is difficult to describe 2036 in detail without spending a great deal of time explaining why things are so different.
In 2036, I live in central Florida with my family and I'm currently stationed at an Army base in Tampa. A world war in 2015 killed nearly three billion people. The people that survived grew closer together. Life is centered on the family and then the community. I cannot imagine living even a few hundred miles away from my parents.

It's going to take me forever to read this but I am thoroughly interested in it. The war or 2005 interests me a lot too, cuz I'm sure I'll be crapping myself if it actually happens. Hmmm.. this is great.

wow - I just read through both pages and it's very cool. Really makes you think - so many things make so much sence. The way the world is going right now, I could very well see this happening... especially the civil war in 2005

yep...
interesting stuff...
what about when he says...
The first "leg" of my trip was from 2036 to 1975. After two VGL checks, the divergence was estimated at about 2.5% (from my 2036). I was "sent" to get an IBM computer system called the 5100. It was one the first portable computers made and it has the ability to read the older IBM programming languages in addition to APL and Basic. We need they system to "debug" various legacy computer programs in 2036. UNIX has a problem in 2038.

That actually is true. Unix's internal time format is based around the notion of a timestamp, which is the number of seconds from midnight on January 1st 1970. Because of the size limit, something will happen in 2038 similar to Y2K, except with Unix.

Even if this is all just a huge hoax it really makes you question your morals and beliefs and what-not. He has some good points about our lives being focused on ourselves and not the community and stuff like that. I'm kind of moved by all of this.

but he says that "religeon is taken seriously"
so, in my opinion, this is an extremely thought out hoax.
If we advance as much as he says we do in the next 30 years, IMO, religeon will actually be in decline... Cute how he avoided the meeting Christ question...

Well, I just stumbled upon the whole John Titor thing yesterday. I have since read everything over at www.johntitor.com. As much as I don't want to become "that crazy hermit guy that believes in the crazy conspiracys (*cough* phil *cough*)" Some of this stuff IS pretty convincing. Especially the stuff with our rights being stripped away from us for "our own saftey" (pfft) which really is happening. It's really hard to dismiss some of this stuff... guess we'll have to wait for 2005 and/or 2015 (World War III, for those of you who didn't read the entire thing and will just say its bullcrap.) I'd kind of like to revive this thread. I've been thinking a lot recently about processed food and stuff like Mad Cow disease, and I think I'm going to try to stop eating meat and genetically altered fruits and vegetables. This is going to be REALLY weird for me since I don't even LIKE salads! Any vegetarians here with any tips on stuff to eat or good links to recipes?

We'll have to wait till 2004, when the Civil War will start followed by a short WWIII, but he says the WWIII will kill almost 3 billion people.
Hehehehe

AP, Don't change your life on what this guy says. Take a look at his time machine. It's made up of ald amp cases from the eighties and not put together very well either. Besides if it did work, how you get past the fact that the singularity would suck the entire planet and most probably all the other planets in our solar system into it. And it sits in the passenger seat of an old chevy pick up. hahahahahahah
Agreed, it was rather well written and is still fooling people six years after.

Most of these posts are made by the people at CERN. Anyone who has or is interested in building a time machine should check with these people, Just in case you tear the universe apart.

I believe in Titor...and his predictions

when/if we will ever be able to manipulate time, and if the 'traveler' were to arrive in our time, we would not believe him. Even though I do not believe Johnny Titor, I do think that someday we will be able to manipulate time (but not well enough to send someone back)

So you think the way I would change my life would be a bad thing? Believe me - I don't plan on becoming one of those crazy guys who lives in a bombshelter... the idea of eating animals that have consumed themselves (in a sense) and eating things that are genetically altered has always really freaked me out.... this just kind of "pushed me over the edge" so to speak. I think if John Titor is a complete sham and he manages to change peoples lives for the better then he has at least succeeded in that. Not to mention its just fun to think about, talk about, and read about. And not to sound like the cynical ******* I am - but where the world is heading now I wouldnt be suprised if his predictions are true, and I wouldnt be completely dissapointed if we had to rebuild.... I think rebuilding is the only way to actually save our world anyway. You can't shine a turd.
(btw - thanks for the link, looks like a lot of interesting stuff)

I read some of the posts but still it's hard to believe that people of 2036 would need a 1975 technology... Unless the WWIII will have killed all the scientists in the world... :sigh:
Wtf am I talking about? It's all bs anyway :D

His answers to the questions do indeed raise more questions...
